GoGirl GoTour @ The American Birkebeiner
On February 20, 2009, the GoGirl Mini Cooper blasted across the state of Wisconsin in a bona fide blizzard. No matter; the GoGirls were headed for the American Birke
beiner in Hayward, WI, and knew that lots of snow was exactly what the doctor ordered! In the morning, GoGirl Amy grabbed a cup of coffee …and an ice scraper and headed to the GoGirl Mini. Northern WI was covered in 5” of fresh snow. The sky was blue and the race was on!
GoGirl Linda needed a little history on the “Birkie” so we stopped to learn of the legendary plight of the young Prince Haakon
of Norway who, in 1206, was smuggled 50km through the snow on skis for his protection. Here is what the story may have looked like if they had only taken the GoGirl Mini Cooper. The American version of the race is between Cable and Hayward, WI. The GoGirls drove between the two small towns, between busloads of race commuters
and through crowds of excited participants. As expected, people waved cheerfully at the pink GoGirl Mini Cooper; who wouldn’t?Here is GoGirl Linda at Telemark Lodge at the beginning of the race, and here she is by a fearsome Muskie at the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame near the finish line.

ly Port-O-Potties (or Saint Paul, Minnesota as it is more commonly known). CEO and Founder, Sarah Dillon, and GoGirl Arlene had a blast at the St. Paul Winter Carnival “Fire on Ice” Iceboat Race on Lake Phalen. Standing in the snow on a frozen lake, it is hard to t
