GoGirl GoTour @ Feed My Starving Children in Minneapolis, MN
Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Minnesota-based global hunger relief organization. This program relies 100% on volunteer labor and I’m proud to say that our GoGirl team rallied up, rolled up their sleeves and hand packed hundreds of meals for the hungry children in Haiti. And it was a lot of fun! To learn more, visit FeedTheChildren.org.
GoGirls Karin, Sarah, Linda and Velia wheeled into Las Vegas to participate in the Interbike International Trade Expo. This was a great opportunity to introduce GoGirl to hundreds of reporters, distributors and journalists from over 60 countries. The female cyclists were very excited to hear that “stepping off the trail” would no longer be dreadful. Every water bottle should be accompanied by a GoGirl
The GoGirls rocked the city of Chicago at the Annual BlogHer Conference. GoGirls Mary, Cydney and Sarah chatted and partied it up with close to 1,500 loyal women bloggers throughout the Country. What a fantastic way for us to introduce GoGirl to millions of bloggers and readers, and safe to say, we were a big topic of conversation! Not only did we leave our GoGirl mark, but also developed some long-lasting friendships. We look forward to connecting up again with these vibrant women at the next 2010 BlogHer Conference in New York! See you there, ladies!
GoGirl GoTour @ Outdoor Retailers Conference in Salt Lake City, UT
Five lucky GoGirl team members made their way to the (very hot) Salt Palace
in Salt Lake City, Utah for the annual Outdoor Retail Conference. This was a great opportunity for our GoGirls Cheryl, Sandy, Linda, Katie, Sarah and Piper, our GoDog to introduce our product to distributors and retailers from
all across the Country. The success for GoGirl was so great that we're already booked for the Winter OR Show in January. GoGirl wrapped up the week with many new business relationships and hundreds of GoGirl believers!
If you're planning a ski trip in Utah, extend your stay by a day and come visit us in January 21-24, 2010.
GoGirl GoTour @ Hmong Freedom International Sports Festival
The 29th Annual Hmong Freedom International Sports Festival – one of which gather over 60,000 thousand competitors, spectators and local community members from 9 different states over the busy, very hot and exciting July 4th weekend was a ground breaking weekend for Go-Girl! The Go-Girl team spent the weekend educating a new market on the FUD and how universal the concept of “don’t take life sitting down” is!
The fun & exciting Go-Girl team consisted of Linda, Sandy, Joua, Nou, Vilai and Mai Yer! The girls had a great time meeting new Go-Girl fans, tattooing the crowd and teaching others why this product works!
June 27-28 - The GoGirl Team introduced our awesome product to the GBLT community this weekend at the Twin Cities Pride Festival and marched in the Pride Parade. What a fun weekend for one and all.
Go Girls Vilai, Karin, Sandy, Beth, Shelby, Stephanie, Julie, Katie and Jana held down the fort at our booth in Loring Park and GoGirls Sarah, Cydney, Katie, Brittney and Katie H walked the parade route with our Mini-- a great crew!
We loved meeting people, sharing laughs, and enjoying the spectacle. What a hoot!
June 27- It started out as a stormy and foreboding morning, but in the end the weather broke and the GoGirl team had a great race at the Croixathlon, sprint triathlon, in Hudson, WI. Go Girls Molly, Naomi and Nikki did a team relay. They all did very well on their respective legs and finished the race with style running across the finish line as a team.
GoGirl Jenny did the race as an individual. It was her first triathlon, and her megawatt smile told a story of how much fun she had on the course. We are all so proud of her!!
Finally, the GoGirl gift basket was awarded to Kari Willey Chien, a Croixathlon volunteer who went above and beyond as a race volunteer. She helped set the course on Friday and was there from sun up to race's end on Saturday. The GoGirls singled her our for her enthusiasm, smart thinking and overall cuteness! Rock on Kari, we hope you like the GoGirls and GoGirl Product.
June 22- A team of six lucky GoGirls headed north for our first official outdoor music fest; the Moondance Jammin' Country Fest. GoGirls Sandy, Cheryl, Cydney, Jennalee, Britney, and Katie braved clouds, rain and sun to bring the best FUD around up to Walker, MN.
The GoGirls had a lot of fun meeting with people. They sold a ton of our fun GoGirl Tshirts and make friends will all the vendors and even did a radio show!
June 20, 2009- The GoGirl team was the buzz of the Health and Wellness packet pick up expo at Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, MN. This was our first trip to the shores of Lake Superior and based on the warm welcome of the crowd, it won't be our last.
GoGirls Linda, Karin, Vilai, Stephanie and Shelby enjoyed talking to women from all over the world and they spent time networking with the other great vendors, too. Reports also say that every GoGirl bought a new pair of running shoes at the expo, so it appears that our GoGirl team is gearing up for upcoming races and runs!
Running Superstar Carrie Tollefson stopped by and posed with GoGirl. That's a feather in our cap! We will add photos as soon as we can.
More from the tour when GoGirl team 2 reports on their weekend in Walker, MN at Moondance Jammin' Country Fest. Woohoo, we're everywhere!
June 18, 2009 - If you are a triathlete at any level and you are registered for the YWCA all-womens tri in Minneapolis, please contact amy@go-girl.com. We are looking for a few more teammates for our GoGirl team on August 16th. We will provide you with a racing tank and a free GoGirl if you are willing to use GoGirl before the race and talk to other women about if approached. The more the merrier!
June 10-15 The GoGirls jumped into the world of competitive bike racing this past week setting up booths at Expos associated with the Nature Valley Grand Prix Bike Races. The races, with dramatically varying courses, were staged in Saint Paul, Cannon Falls, Minneapolis, Mankato and Stillwater. Each venue had different crowds and the GoGirl team mingled with all sorts of people.
The women's races were incredible and awe-inspiring. It was very fun to have these powerful, active and gutsy women come check out our product and make several purchases after they were done kicking some cycling butt.
The bike world still seems to skew a bit male, but that proved to be a non-issue for the GoGirls. More than ever before, men were interested in the product and may have purchased as many GoGirls as the women did. It was a great reminder that everyone we meet is a potential GoGirl enthusiast. The cycling guys want their moms, sisters, wives, friends and girlfriends to have all the advantages they have. Cool stuff!
GoGirls Karin, Katie, Amy, Beth, Sarah, Stephanie, Jana, Peggy, and Molly covered the events and it's safe to say we had a BLAST!
June 7, 2009 - Who has fun and draws a crowd even in the light rain, overcast skies and chilly temps? GOGIRL! Yes, that's right, GoGirl made its mark on Saint Paul's longstanding official rite of Summer; Grand Old Day.
We had great sales, great conversations and, as always, we made great connections. And it's true we did all of that wearing stocking caps and mittens .....in June.
Thanks to Go Girls Jana, Karin, Amy, Jenny, Molly, Jessica, Katie and Sarah for such a fun day. (and props to our daughters and advocates; Mini GoGirl Kyra and 'Tween GoGirl Emma.)
June 6, 2009 - If a picture is worth a 1,000 words, then we suggest you take a minute to look at our flicker feed for photos of the fabulous GoGirl night at the Saint Paul Saints game on Friday night. What a great time.
Look for GoGirls at Saints games throughout the summer. If you see a woman in a GoGirl shirt, she will probably have a temp tattoo on hand. Just ask and you, too, can sport the "Don't Take Life Sitting Down" motto!
GoGirl GoTour Heading to the Saint Paul Saints Game on Friday!
June 3, 2009- In case you haven't heard, this Friday it's time to take part in an old fashioned American tradition --updated for the convenience of women! Yes, it's "Standing Room Only... (in the Bathroom)" night, a Saint Paul Saints minor league baseball game sponsored by GOGIRL!
The GoGirl Team will be at the game in force, talking to women about GoGirl and the freedom it gives us, selling GoGirl at a discounted price and, of course, partaking in the legendary "FUN is GOOD" activites.
The GoGirls are taking it one step further, too. The Saints have an infamous shortage of women's restrooms. So on Friday, GoGirl Sarah will storm the field in the Mini Cooper and attempt to find celebrity support to help her stage a coup and take over one of the men's bathrooms for the entire game!
There are still seats available, so come early and get your tickets. If you convince us you are a "SuperFan" of our product, we'll give you a GoGirl Tshirt!
May 22-24 - The GoGirl Team headed east to Stillwater, MN to participate in the inaugural Anytime Fitness Stillwater Marathon. Turns out 2500 people thought it would be fun to run long distances in the peaks and dips of the St. Croix Valley …and the GoGirls knew that those people needed a brand spankin’ new GoGirl to add to their travel totes.
“Inaugural” was the motto of the weekend, because this was the first time the Mini Cooper has been out to the East Metro. So, for many people it was the first time that they had heard of GoGirl. But as we have come to expect, it takes about 30 seconds before most women smile and exclaim, “Where was THIS when I was in ______?” (fill in the blank, you know you can!)
The GoGirl Team had a blast meeting the marathoners and distance runners and we are looking forward to our next event this upcoming weekend. Get ready for the GoGirls, Minneapolis Marathon. Here we come!
Memorial Day Weekend - "Blitz" flexed their muscles and showed off their GoGirl wear at the Hmong Flag Football Tournament this weekend in Dakota County. GoGirl is very pleased to be sponsoring these active women.
Look for more of Blitz (and more of GoGirl) over the Fourth of July weekend when we storm the McMurry fields in Saint Paul, MN, at the Hmong International Sports Tournament and Freedom Festival!
Are you an active GoGirl signed up for the YWCA all-women triathlon in Minneapolis this August? Are you riding the RAGBRAI in July? Do you have an all-women team for the Ragnar relay? Are you doing the Breast Cancer bike ride or the Breast Cancer 3-day? Are you doing the Minne-Man? The Iron Girl?
Please contact amy@go-girl.com if you are interested in wearing a GoGirl t-shirt or racing tank at these events. We may have a spot for you on our team!
In 2008, 2152 bicyclists snaked single-file through the city of Taichung and set the Guinness world record for the world's longest bike parade. On May 17, 2009, Edina Morningside Rotary set out to demolish that record by gathering 3,000 bikers in an altruistic bike event. Of course, the GoGirl team was there, looking fabulous in new shirts and excited to make history!
GoGirls Janna, Christine, Jenny, Karin and Amy rode in the parade. These GoGirls generated lots of attention in the parade line-up and lots of "GOGIRL!" hoots throughout the course.
Meanwhile back at the Mini Cooper and Comfort stations, GoGirls Sarah, Cydney, Katie, and Stephanie were answering questions and selling product like crazy. As is often the case, people crowded around the GoGirl booth, excited to talk about this new product.
The world record, you ask? Well, we didn't quite make it. Organizers estimate that we were about halfway there, but they are positive that this year's event is a great foundation for which to build next year's world record goal. Maybe you will join us as part of the GoGirl team and help break the record?
Upcoming Event! GoGirl @ the Inaugural Anytime Fitness Marathon May 22-23 in Stillwater, MN
Don’t forget to check in with the GoGirls at the first Stillwater Marathon.
We will be at the Health and Wellness Expo (packet pick up) on Friday evening, May 22, and Saturday, May 23. So stop in at the Stillwater Area High School and say hello to the GoGirl team!
Upcoming Event! GoGirl @ Edina Bike Parade May 17 Edina, MN
The city of Edina, MN is trying to beat the World Record this Sunday, May 17th for the World's Largest Bike Parade.
Come support GoGirl and Edina and ride the two mile route as part of the GoGirl team. We're looking for 20 participants to participate. According to the Edina Rotary, "kids 8 to 108 are welcome to participate."
Please email GoGirl at info@go-girl.com if you are interested riding as part of GoGirl's team, and someone from the team will reply with more information.

May 10 - GoGirls Sarah and Lynne painted Hopkins, MN pink with GoGirl on Sunday. Such a beautiful spring day in the Midwest!!
The GoGirls set up shop with the Mini and talked to women all day long. Most passers by opened the conversation with, “So, what is GoGirl?” and most walked away with a new device that allows them to pee standing up and keep up with their counterparts in any circumstance.
Lynne and Sarah enjoyed the queens of Hopkins who agreed to pose for this ultra cute shot. How much better does it get; Tiaras and GoGirls?? Impossibly fun.
GoGirl GoTour @ Southern Shows International Women's Expo in Novi, Michigan
April 30-May 3 2009 - The GoGirls took to the skies, and ventured to Novi, Michigan, just outside of Detroit for the Southern Shows biggest Women’s Expo. The GoGirl team --anchored by Ms. Sarah and supported by Linda, Beth and Amy --had a blast in this uncharted territory.
The Novi Expo was a four-day affair catering to women from all walks of life. The GoGirls not-too-scientific study indicated that door busters are not our best clients, but every hour thereafter the momentum kept building to a wild crescendo. By the end of every day our rolling pink GoGirl suitcase was empty, and many women were off learning how to shed the last impediment to easy travel, hiking, camping, road trips, boat trips and parties.
A shout out to our friends at Live with Gratitude who made the weekend even more fun with their friendship and their props. Visit their website for some very unique and beautiful merchandise that exudes the idea that life is like a boomerang—whatever you throw out into the universe, comes back to you --reminding us to live with a gracious spirit. Please support these GoGirls, too!
Thanks to all for a fun extendo-weekend.
GoGirl GoTour @ Coming to Midwest Mountaineering Outdoor Adventure Expo
April 24-26, 2009 Come and visit us this weekend at the Midwest Mountaineering Outdoor Adventure Expo on 309 Cedar Ave South in Minneapolis. Ten different GoGirls with ten different reasons for loving to use a GoGirl will be on hand to answer all your questions and listen to your “The Time When I needed a GoGirl” story.
The brand new GoGirl expo booth will be unveiled and we will have Expo prices on all of our fabulous GoGirl products. The Outdoor Adventure Expo runs from 5-9:0pm on Friday April 24, 9-6:00pm on Saturday April 25 and 11-5:00pm on Sunday April 26. There is no admission fee and there are lots of great exhibits and sales (in addition to GoGirl, of course!)
April 3, 2009 GoGirl Sarah spent a Friday at the Blomington Airport Hilton at the NAIW Region V Conference Insurance Professionals of Greater Minneapolis. On paper this event looked like it had potential to be a bit on the dry side, but the fun and outgoing crowd loved GoGirl and Sarah had a blast!
Approximately 350 professional women from seven surrounding states attended this event. There were only about a dozen or so vendors, but no question, as always, GoGirl was the hit. Initially, many women laughed at the idea and some women were even speechless. But the GoGirl team knows it doesn’t take long for gals to think of a time when a GoGirl would have saved the day.
It only took a few minutes before the women began nodding in agreement. Nearly everyone at the event purchased 1, 2, 3 (even 20!) GoGirls and tons of items from our cute clothing line.
GoGirl GoTour @ Mankato - River Hills Spring Women's Show
March 28 and 29, 2009 It was a beautiful spring day when GoGirl Sarah Dillon headed to Mankato, Minnesota to the River Hills Mall Spring River Women’s Show. Admittedly, it was a slow day to be in a mall, when the rest of the world was out getting a little sun on their cheeks, but the GoGirl Mini was placed right at the entrance of Target; the best spot in the mall! People loved seeing the Mini indoors and it was pretty cool to discover how many people already knew about GoGirl.
The trip to Mankato includes a lovely drive thru the Minnesota River Valley. There are always interesting things to see along the way. In fact, if you look closely, you can see the Jolly Green Giant standing behind the GoGirl Mini. Thank goodness he wasn’t hitchhiking!
On March 7 & 8, 2009, the GoGirls headed to the St. Paul Women’s Expo at the Xcel Energy Center.
The GoGirl Crew, headed by President and Founder, Sarah Dillon, had a great time meeting curious attendees and all the other wonderful vendors.
The GoGirls were impressed by the number of women who had recently seen GoGirl on the TV news or on the Today show and wanted to know more. There is no doubt that this product really says “Grrrrl Power” to women everywhere.
As usual, our trusty companion, the GoGirl Mini Cooper, was along for
the fun. We also brought the urinal-only portable “comfort station.” We always get a kick out of peoples’ expressions when they open the doors of our port-o-potty.
Keep an eye out for the GoGirl Crew as the summer months heat up. Our schedule is filling up quickly. Is there a place you would like to see the GoGirls? Let us know!
On February 20, 2009, the GoGirl Mini Cooper blasted across the state of Wisconsin in a bona fide blizzard. No matter; the GoGirls were headed for the American Birkebeiner in Hayward, WI, and knew that lots of snow was exactly what the doctor ordered!
In the morning, GoGirl Amy grabbed a cup of coffee …and an ice scraper and headed to the GoGirl Mini. Northern WI was covered in 5” of fresh snow. The sky was blue and the race was on!
GoGirl Linda needed a little history on the “Birkie” so we stopped to learn of the legendary plight of the young Prince Haakon of Norway who, in 1206, was smuggled 50km through the snow on skis for his protection. Here is what the story may have looked like if they had only taken the GoGirl Mini Cooper.
The American version of the race is between Cable and Hayward, WI. The GoGirls drove between the two small towns, between busloads of race commuters and through crowds of excited participants. As expected, people waved cheerfully at the pink GoGirl Mini Cooper; who wouldn’t?
Here is GoGirl Linda at Telemark Lodge at the beginning of the race, and here she is by a fearsome Muskie at the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame near the finish line.
On January 31 and February 1, 2009 the GoGirls traveled to the land of chilly Port-O-Potties (or Saint Paul, Minnesota as it is more commonly known). CEO and Founder, Sarah Dillon, and GoGirl Arlene had a blast at the St. Paul Winter Carnival “Fire on Ice” Iceboat Race on Lake Phalen. Standing in the snow on a frozen lake, it is hard to think of ice sailing as “the hottest new extreme sport in the world”… but it is!
Boosted by the mild weather and a fine day of racing, hardy Minnesotan’s told the GoGirls about the times they would have liked to have a GoGirl in their purse; and now many of them do! Cheers to the new GoGirls of winter carnival ice sailing!
On January 31, 2009, the GoGirl Mini Cooper was spotted checking out the throngs of crowds at the City of Lakes Loppet. This event is a cross-country ski festival featuring the beautiful trails and lakes of Minneapolis. With 46 degree temps in January, the GoGirls knew this race was the place to be!
GoGirl Sarah toured Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun, waving at skiers and onlookers. People all around the city pointed and waved at the GoGirl mini!
January 2009 - The GoGirls really started the GoTour with the birth of our vehicle and stand-up port-o-potties. HUGE thanks and props to Wrap City Graphics out of Hopkins, MN. We are very appreciative of Kimberly, Ike, and Kris who did amazing work on the Mini Cooper and the "Comfort Stations"!
